    College Visits Preview: Week of September 28th

    This week there are ten schools scheduled to visit BHSEC. Brief profiles of the schools follow. The schools that will be visiting are Kalamazoo, Haverford, Columbia, Colgate, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Yale, Hobart William Smith, Vassar, Pomona, and Knox.

    The soccer game between the Bard Raptors and George Washington was much anticipated. Both teams were undefeated and had easily beaten all of their previous opponents. It was a clash of the Titans but the Raptors were more than ready for the challenge.

    BHSEC is known for, and prides itself on its diverse and extremely well qualified teaching staff. The newest member of the science department, Ben Mikesh, is no exception to this standard. Mikesh, who will be the new 9th grade physics teacher, has done it all.

    During the next two months over 70 schools will be sending college representatives to BHSEC. To help students choose which of these visits they want to attend, each week the Bard Bulletin will post a preview of the schools visiting that week. What follows is a preview of the schools that will be coming this week: Smith College, Sarah Lawrence College, Boston University, Evergreen State College, Tufts, Occidental College, and Rochester Institute of Technology.

    BHSEC Soccer: A Positive Start for Both the Girls and Boys Teams

    After two years of almost straight losses, the Lady Raptors won their first match of the season against Stuyvesant High School. The final score was a mind-boggling 6-0, as many goals as the team scored all last season.
